Time is gold?????
04.20.08 (1:56 am) [edit] My summer would become boring if I don't play sports. Good thing our parish has organized a day-long event of sports so that our parish will be more bonded. I signed up for table tennis and since a neighbor, just in front of our house, plays it also and is also the head of table tennis for the day-long activity, we are "practicing" for it almost everyday. Also, thank God that we play basketball and futsal every Saturday night in the school. I can still practice my skills.
"Time is Gold" many say, but what does this quotation mean? A very simple meaning for this is that since people value so much gold, because of its price, people must value time as they value Gold. But the way people value time differs from one another. As St. Josemaria said " For some, time is money but for us Christian, time is glory." This means, as a Christian, we must use our time to give glory to God. how can we do it since we are all doing different things and we can't pray all the time? well, praying is a way of giving glory to God, but it is not the only way. St. Josemaria is known for his teaching of sanctification of daily work. His teaching tells each one of us that we can all give glory to God by doing whatever we're doing (washing the dishes, studying, reading, etc.) excellently and to offer it to God. In this way, we are doing what we are ought to do at the same time, we are giving glory to God.
Everyone must remember that the time one has in his life is the only time he can use to gain heaven. To gain heaven one must do good acts and avoid doing evil things. If one dies, he doesn't have another chance to be in heaven. So let us all make good use of each second that passes by giving glory to God.
