when can you say I LOVE YOU??
10.19.07 (9:23 am) [edit]when can you say that you love that person??? is a 5-month friendship enough for you to love her??? of course not. let me tell you this, a 5-month, 5 days a week and more or less an hour each day of talking just between the two of you is not enough for you and her to know each other that well and for you to tell that you already love her... i'm not writing this because as everyone know, i also like her... but i'm writing this as a lesson taught to us in high school that i wanted to share to everyone... for someone to tell that he loves someone, he must have knew the person very much first...
this is the reason why the order of our purpose which is to know, love, and serve God is such.. we need to know God first then love and lastly serve him.
Before you could love a person, you should know her first and once you already have loved her, you need to serve her...this is the reason why there is no such thing as love at first sight..
I hope its clear.. i think it's not love. maybe your just infatuated or attracted to her(who would not have been? as i am also attracted to her).... just like what i said in my previous post , "I LOVE YOU" means not just what most is thinking.. it is something much much deeper....it is a commitment...

There is such a thing as love at first sight! Just read my post and you'll see, lol! I fell in love "at first sight" 6 years ago and now we're engaged and, guess what? Still passionately in love! So go for your heart! I think 5 months is long enough to realize you love someone.....unless you haven't seen that person's other side and you just get this bad feeling? But if you don't then just tell her! LOL!

you have just became attracted to her... how can you love someone you didn't know..those 5 months are still not enough. if you'll ask him, i am sure there are still many things about her that he don't know. lets not make this a big deal... look, how could you say that you love the person if in the first place you don't know her name??? why, did you know her name already when you have first saw her? of course not?? so that moment when you first saw her, you were not in loved to her, rather, u were just attracted to her beauty that time... it may look like a "pilosopong" reason but still it prooves that there is no such thing as a love at first sight... there are still many love myths meaning it's not true. love at first sight is just one.

Oh yes, true love IS a commitment- and you know what? True love is so rare it's almost not real at all. However, it does happen. You just never know. I think love at first sight is like winning the lottery or like getting struck by lightening.
But yes, you may just be infatuated, have a temporary crush- Only you can know what you really feel and if you're not sure, only time can tell.
So in a way, I agree that there is no such thing as "love at first sight" as it is SILLY because it is SOOOOOOOOO RARE. But you never know....maybe you're lucky? I found the love of my life and I knew he was the one from the first moment until today and....forever.
Ahhhh....this world is full of experiences and opinions, lol!
Have a nice day!

You are thinking and doing right. Love will come in time, in God's time. Enjoy the friendship. That's being in love too. A general one though. In the meantime, concentrate on what is most important in your life right now - your studies! Fall in love with it.

"There is no such thing as love at first sight.."
True...
Physical attraction is one thing in "love at first sight". It's more of lust [non-malicious way] that way.
People say that they fell in love at first sight because they are probably [currently] extremely happy or in love with the person who they liked at first sight.
A certain state of happiness doesn't mean that you're in love with the person. You could be in love with the feeling. Or just overwhelmed with the idea that you're with someone.
Yeah...and love... saying that you love someone takes time. You should know and trust the person well. When you say you love someone, you must really be [in] love with [almost] everything about the person.
As for the time of saying "I love you"... we really don't know how soon or how late we can admit to others and to our selves... It took me more than 6 months to admit that. Unfortunately, it was unrequited.

okay, i am struck by what you are guyz talking about..
[it's really an interesting topic..LoL..]
Love at first sight is an emotional condition whereby a person feels romantic attraction for a stranger on the first encounter with the stranger. The term may be used to refer to a mere sexual attraction or crush, but it usually refers to actually falling in love with someone literally the very first time one sees him or her, along with the deep desire to have an intimate relationship with that person. The stranger may or may not be aware that the other person has any such notion, and may not even be aware of the other person's presence (such as in a crowded place). Sometimes two people experience this phenomenon towards each other at the same time, usually when their eyes meet.
I got this from wikipedia..

mac tnx for reading my blog. i would like to comment on this sentence you wrote "there's no harm in trying naman dba??". there is.... that's the reason why there is a such virtue called prudence. you need to think before you act. you think what will be the outcome. if it will do good on you, then do it. if it will harm you, why would you do it. i hope you got it....
well tnx again for commenting.. i hope u'll still read my blog... =)

at long last! ahahaha!
after certain network problems, nakapagpost na rin!
anyway, this is a serious topic!
and i should say, i simply love this!
hmm.. love at first sight is indeed a myth..
it only means that you're very much attracted to someone..
it's merely a crush or infatuation..
BUT love is not involved there..
i just want to share statements related to this topic..
"whenever you say i love you, mean it.."
"it takes a moment to say i love you,
but it takes a lifetime to show how much.."
(i got the first one from a powerpoint slideshow forwarded to me..
while the second one's printed in our JS prom invitation.. ehehe!
those are my sources! ty MRCA!)
i love you isn't just a simple statement..
its meaning is deep..
it's not that right to say i love you to a person just because you like him/her..
we must always keep in mind that,
LOVING SOMEONE IS MORE THAN JUST LIKING ANG NEEDING THAT PERSON..
saying i love you is more than just expressing one's feelings to somebody..
it involves commitment..
as what the line tells us, "it takes a lifetime.."
